So they took a train to London , where they had so much fun.

So they took a train to London , where they had so much fun.
They laughed and they giggled,
had coffee at Nero's
and shopped till they dropped...
But they also took a trip down Memory Lane.
One of them was seven years younger,
and the eldest used to sleep in the same bed at night.
Each night they would measure out the exact middle of the bed.
Whenever one of them "crossed the line",
the other one would use an elbow or a knee to establish their territorial rights.
I was trying to tell you the story of he three suisters in London, was I not?
Being together again as three sisters like they used to be a long time ago
gave hem a chance to really talk to each other again.
All three of them had been through better
and through worse,
and each of them had lived their own sorrows.
You know, like most people do?
A lot had happened in their lives,
but they never had the chance to really look through each others eyes.
And in this very cosy English pub, they ordered something to eat.
And over dinner and a bottle of delicious rosé wine

they told each other about their lives.
About what happened, the why's and the why not's in life.
They talked,
they giggled,
they laughed and they cried.
Three little sisters in London ...
It was so intense ...
Nice new blog! I am glad that you did it. My two daughters at one time had to share a room. they each had their own bed. They were so territorial that they ran a strip of tape down the middle of the room. All is well that ended well...they are very close now. I did not have a sister. I had two brothers. I am very close to my youngest brother. That coffee looked fantastic! Now I want to go to Starbucks. LOL
ReplyDeleteCongratulation on the new blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you for adding me to your blogroll :)
Sounds like you had a great time in London! What a lovely idea, this hens party between sisters, strolling down Memory Lane...
ReplyDeleteLove this post. Sounds like a wonderful time.....I'm drooling at the coffee shots :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was full of epiphanies and good wine!
ReplyDelete@ Christine The coffee was very good, we enjoyed it!
ReplyDelete@ Korie
ReplyDeleteLooks like I've learned yet another new word today, thanks!
What a hen's party we had! The two days were way to short and they leave nothing but good memories behind... I am already looking forward to our trip in 2008 sis!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, congratulations with this new wonderful blog! Now you are really an addict! Hihihi.
Ofcourse it will be in my headlines!
Your little sister
Oh my God!!! My little sister has discovered my new blog!!! That'll be fun! Welcome sis! I'll put you on my blogroll!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely walk with you down mem'ry lane :)
ReplyDeleteMakes me miss my sister (who's traveling the USA with her hubby in an RV for a couple of years now that she's retired too) all the more. I wish she wasn't so "computer-averse" ... she knows about my Blogs and has even "looked" at them while we've chatted on the phone and I walked her through the basic skills required to enjoy them ... but, alas, she's yet to leave me a comment ... so I suspect she's not looked at them again :(
Hugs and blessings,
@ Storyteller
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean as I expierience the same with my daughter, and some of my friends. They know about the blog, maybe read it from time to time, (I think) but commenting seems like the hardest thing to do! It's a pity, but alas!
Maybe it's because they don't understand what it means to us, I don't know!
Before I started blogging I didn't have a clue either you know, my sister had started one and I really didn't care less. But once I did begin to read it, I got so addicted to reading and commenting on it, and less than three weeks later I started my own!
