Fridge Friday .... The Full Monty!

Okay, I promised you all the Full Monty.
But before we move on to that Monty stuff,
let's do a little bit of explaining, shall we?
I found the following explanation on the origin of that expression:

"It drives Brits nuts when people think ‘The Full Monty’ means stripping, because to a Brit it was a term used for decades and decades before as a catch phrase meaning to ‘go all the way;’ coined by General Montgomery’s cook as the military man always insisted on a full English breakfast before battle."

Breakfast ... fridge ... Okay, makes sense to me ...
Let's go ...

What?
Still not satisfied?
What did you say? It's not what you were looking for?
Well, at least it had a fridge?
Oh you want the REAL STUFF?
Okay, okay, here we go then ...
There ...

Still not right?
OK, let's try this then shall we?

I have picked a different version of that same song)

I promised?
Whahahahahaha!

Thirsday thirteen ... Thirteen Posts that got Stuck in my Keyboard ...

For this week's Thirsday Thirteen I have picked thirteen posts
that never got published up until now.
One way or another, they all got stuck in my keyboard ...

1. The middle name meme Korie tagged me with.
I did not have a clue what a meme or getting tagged meant at all.
It was at the Nablopomo kick-off, early November.
Yeah I know!
It would help me if one day I would not know what to write Korie said!
Yeah, right!
I'm happy to inform you, I AM STILL working on it ...
in fact, ... it's almost finished!!!
2. The peppernut hick-up follow-up story.
The making of, the recipe and the pictures!
Well anyway, by now peppernuts are so out of season,
it's all about easter eggs now isn't it?
3. A Wordless Wednesday on cobwebs.
Cobwebs are out of season too!
4. A wordless Wednesday titled "lost".
Well... it still is!
5. Manneken Piss, the pride and shame of Belgium.
6. A TT on things you would not want to know.
Let me tell you, you wouldn't, .... believe me!
7. A Trinny and Susannah story ... shopping with my hubby!
It's a hilarious story, still to be written one day ... I hope!
8. A post on how addicted to blogging I am.
Well let's forget about that one shall we?
7. Manneken Piss II.
I mean yes, well, a statue of a peeing toddler?
I probably would have to do two posts, I dont know?
What do you think?
8. On how to cheat a little bit on a Thirsday Thirteen.
Thirteen is a lot you know!
9. On how to cheat on a Frigde Friday.
Well you all know how we Europeans feel about that one, now do you?
10. A TT on places I've visited.
Still working on that one too.
11. My favourite spot in this appartment.
12. Why I love spring so much.
13. Fridge Friday, remember?
Okay okay ... Fridge Friday?
Okay, tomorrow ...
Tomorrow I'll give you the Full Monty!
Yeah ....

Wordless Wednesday ... It's a Small World ...

Wordless Wednesday ...
It's such a small world...
And the folowing story left me speechless !

Remember the post I wrote on Goult, and the lovely post office?
I got a comment on that post from Evelyn :

I adore Goult and have been there twice. I'm thinking about renting a house there this fall for a couple of weeks. How did you find your rental? If you go to my blog, there's a picture of a house that I looked at to rent. That doesn't happen to be where you stayed, is it? (It's in the archives...called Writer's House)
It just so happens that I knew exactly what house she was talking about,
because I made a picture of that house last year while we were there ...

It caught my eye because it looks so French.
White red and blue are the French colours,
and no car is more French than a "deux chevaux"...

Anyway, this is Evelyn's story on the house ...

Marché de Provence at Velleron.

Velleron, France. Ten to six in the evening.
The people outside the gate of the municipal parking are waiting patiently.
Some of them have even found a place to sit down
and share some town gossip with a befriended neighbour while they wait.
They all carry huge shopping bags.

The people inside the gate are waiting too.
All of their goods are very neatly displayed on the improvised counters.

The gate is locked.
So the customers outside are locked out ...
and the farmers who come here to sell their produce
... are locked in!
Although I don't think any of them would want to escape?

The guy with the blue trousers holds the key.
He looks at his watch ...
no hurry ...

heads towards the gate.
There used to be a police officer blowing a whistle at exactly 6 PM,
but now he is the one responsible.

He opens the gate at the exact time, and he has to brace himself ...

as the crowd rushes in!
They all want to get in first and be the first one to pick the best products...
There is more than enough to go around
and it's the best quality you'll ever see.
People in the Provence are sometimes very strange.
They never ever rush ...
exept when it comes to food ...

Music Monday

I decided to join Music Monday today and share some of my favourite music.
Gloria by the Doors.
I always loved this song and this music,
but I had never paid much attention to the lyrics
until I found this uncut version.

Hang on to your hats, this is some real sexy music ....

Weekly Winners ... Locked up in Prison

Imagine this is the place where you're going to spend the next years of your life.

You're right, it's a prison.

The only doors opening ...

are the ones closing behind you ...

They watch your every move.

You're allowed to take a shower twice a week on Mondays and Thirsdays.

When you go for a walk and try to look up at the sky, this is what you'll see.

And when you return to your cell,

and climb those stairs again,

you're confronted to yourself again.
Wondering what you've done, and why?

You share this room with two other inmates,
and the paper girls keep you company.

Three toothbrushes ...

and three pieces of soap ...

And then ...

they close that door on you again ...

No folks, this is not what you think, I was just a visitor here.
And I did not have anybody to visit here either, this used to be a prison.
Up until 2005 it was still used as a prison.
They turned it into a museum recently.
It felt very strange, and I could not help imagening what it would be like,
counting every second, every minute
... the hours and the days.

This is my Weekly Winners for this week, it's different, I know ...

Don't forget to visit the others at the homepage of Weekly Winners,
and say hello to Lotus too, the one and only Sarcastic Mom!
She created this Weekly Winners and I look forward to it every week!
Bye now, see you all again next week?
If you want to join us, you can, it's fun!

Photohunt ... Party

When I saw this week's theme was "party" I immediately thought of this picture.
It was taken a very long time ago, I was in my early twenties.
I always loved to dance, party ... and um ... well yes, flirt a little!
It was taken at a birthday party of a friend of mine.
I had such a great time that night.
Well yes, I guess anybody can see that ...

Have a great weekend,
don't forget to visit the others and leave them a comment?
