Bruges is to Belgium what Venice is in Italy.
That's why they call it Venice of the North.
But if you're born there, and your family lives there,
you hardly ever get the opportunity to be a tourist there,
and enjoy the beauty of that city.
Up until last Sunday, I did not have one picture of Bruges in my archives.
I thought this was a real shame and
I was really looking for an opportunity to do something about that.
I had a meeting with a Dutch blogfriend and my sisters
and we did a photostroll in Bruges.
Like most of the tourists visiting Bruges, we took a boat ride on the canals.
That boat went terribly fast!
The whole thing was over in twenty minutes
while it was supposed to last at least half an hour!
We were being ripped off as tourists in your own city, oh my!
Nevertheless, I was able to make some pretty pictures ...I saw this pretty balcony
and all I could think of was,
Project Blue!!! We took a walk "on land" later on
and we passed the exact same house, and I thought
... Project Blue!!! I do hope the blue comes out enough though!

Photohunt / Project Blue #7
Photohunter wants us to show pictures of "bad hair" today.
There's no way I'm going to show you mine, uh-uh!
In fact, these guys were very reluctant to pose for me too! They did not want to see,
... hear,
let alone talk about it ...
This is a little statue my husband once bought.
I never liked it very much, thought they were ugly.
And although it's been gathering dust for some years
because I neglected them,
that grey stuff is not dust, it's their patina.
I should know,
I was the one polishing it with a toothbrush
before I took the pictures!
Anyway, while making this series,
I've started to like them a little bit more!
And I like their message ...
Can you see how I have draped that gorgeous blue scarf behind it?
In a very creative, artistic and skillful way? Ahum ...
And the shades of blue in that silk? Hmm?
Multitasking again today,
it's also my post for Project Blue.
Clever huh?

Project Blue #5
For todays Project Blue post,
I wanted to try something.
I have been looking for blue everywhere too,
as is everyone else in this project,
but the rain has been pouring down here all day,
so it's really not a good day to go outside for some new pictures.
I saw my husbands blue ties this morning,
and thought I could maybe try something with those.Too boring ...
What could be more boring then a tie?
Six of them maybe ?Different angle, ... hmmm ...
Let's try something else ...
Nope ... still not right.
I think I like this one best?
Let's try again now, shall we?How about this one?
I had my fun for today.
Now let's visit the others for a change,
let's see what they've got!

Wordless Wednesday/ Project Blue #4
For a Wordless, you need a picture that tells a story, I think.
For Project Blue, you need blue.
I have both in this picture here.
It has been waiting in my archives
for almost a year now!
Oh well, better late than never ...
The only word I want to add here is "lost".
(In case you're wondering, they're street actors, they were not really lost!)

Project Blue From the Ground Up #3
I love Anna Carson's photography projects,
and Project Blue is one of my favourites,
because I happen to like that colour very much.
But Project from the ground up is a challenge to me too,
so please forgive me,
I'm multitasking I know, but I can't resist!
I felt a little bit guilty because I uploaded pictures from my archives yesterday,
so I decided to have a go at it today, and have some fun with my camera! This was my first shot, at noon today.
I had to go to work today, but when I saw it tonight,
I was not yet completely satisfied.
So I had another go at it.I think I'll let you decide, wich one is better.
While I made the previous one,
I saw the reflection of the seagulls in the mirror,
and tried to capture those as well.
Hmm, I kind of like this image,
but the hole in the wall annoys me.
Maybe from another angle, I can avoid this as well?
Hang on, I'll try to capture it sitting in the bath?Sitting in the bath is no option, that's not the right angle.
This one is the right angle,
only now the reflection of the light on the ceiling bothers me.
Let me try and make one in the dark ...Twenty two pictures later ...
Hmmm, I think I like the very first one best!
Yeah!
Definetely ...
Oh well, at least I tried ...

Project Blue From the Ground Up!
Please scroll down for my Fun Monday post please?
Anna started this new photography project called Project Blue.
I'm late I know, but I'll do take one and take two in one post.
I'll even take it from the ground up, what do you think?
Take oneTake two, wich is the windmill in Goult.
Click on it to enlarge, you'll get a better view of the doves. These are taken last year when we were on holliday in La Provence, France.
Blue is ever present there ...
I'm counting the days, ten more and we'll be there ...
